Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Alongside her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
